• Alpaca Owner and Breeder Association (AOBA)
    The association was formed in 1987 to promote public awareness and membership appreciation of the alpaca's unique qualities; to educate the membership on the care and breeding of the alpaca; to promote the growth of the alpaca industry as a whole; to foster the establishment of the breed outside of its native land by encouraging husbandry and breeding practices based upon, but not limited to, herd health, overall soundness, and wool production; and to establish and maintain an alpaca registry. A library of videos, books, articles and brochures is available. The AOBA Certified Show Division includes a calendar of alpaca events.

  • Alpaca Registry Inc. (ARI)
    ARI members enjoy access to a state of the art software system that includes the largest alpaca registry database in the world. This system enables members to manage their registered alpaca herds and conduct research on all alpacas in the Registry database. The Color Chart with the different colored strands of alpaca fiber can be purchased from the Alpaca Registry.
